Here comes the rainbow.

Things are moving. I'm so grateful. Dude and the Duchess (especially Mr . Richard & Miss Tercia) gave me an opportunity to display and sell my work at their gorgeous boutique. It was a great pleasure for me and I already had a few things in mind on what to add more while hanging all the artworks there today. Thanks also to all their friendly staffs who had been helpful to help me hang the work. Do drop by at the boutique as they have wonderful pieces not to be missed!

Some of my paintings at
Dude & The Duchess Fashion Show @ The Loft Gallery,
Bangsar Village II
7th-14th June 2009

I missed the Dude & the Duchess Fashion + Art Show last Saturday because I got to tend my booth at Bijou Bazaar. L.O.V.E. and I went only after the event ended. I managed to snap his actions with some of my paintings though. Glad that it all went well. Congrats to D&D for organizing the event and I'm looking forward another one in future. Works started piling up. Got interesting commissioned boudoir work and I need to continue working on the new artwork series for next exhibition. Just hoping this will go as planned. I've got some new boudoir collection series waiting as well. My eye balls starting to bulging out by just looking at the long list. Gotta go.
Enjoy!

Feeling good.

Is it a wonderful world?

Commissioned for Iwan (Bijou Bazaar)

Details

The sun doesn't always shine.
It's almost cloudy everyday.
Flowers stop blooming.
The butterflies are shying away.
Even the birds stop singing.
It's dark. Silence.

Still,is it a wonderful world?

Last February, I received an interview offer from Miss Effie from dpi Magazine which based in Taiwan. My girls managed to squeeze in the given four pages and I was very happy to received one copy last week. The outcome was great and I enjoyed reading other interviews by other amazing artists too. Their work was awesome and very inspiring especially by Ai Yamaguchi.

You Are Not Alone
While sending out this message, my girls are donning in
Rue Du Mail & Antonio Berardi Spring/Summer 2009
Collection.

Here's a little peek on what I'm working on right now. We at The Fashion Forest are going to support the Chic Charity event organized by Tongue in Chic this weekend.
Excerpt from Joyce email :
"Chic Charity is basically a pet project we have where we collect clothes that girls don't want anymore but are still good condition (and not suitable to donate to an orphanage!) and sell them for RM5-15 each. The whole point of this is to recycle clothes, buy new ones without it being expensive, and all the money goes to the Women's Aid Organisation."

Got the idea now? I'm gonna produce limited prints of my girls sending out messages (in fashionably manners of course ;)), love and comfort as an encouragement to those who have been through rough times and what some women out there have to put through years of domestic violence. We hope our little effort would at least soothes the pain a little and also spread the messages of "No to Violence" to all the people out there. Lets spread the love and give some hope for them to stand up again. Open the door for the new life, speak up and act!

Venue : Somo, Mont Kiara.

Date: 1st March Sunday
Time: 3pm -7pm
Come and support us!
Note : Apart of the sales will be contributed to WAO (Women's Aid Organization).

Owh yeah...we'll be with Bijou Bazaar on 28th February & 1st March again! Will update soon.
More artwork coming!

Warm wishes from us,

The Fashion Forest website

Again on new set up stuffs. I've created a free based website at jimdo.com and named it after The Fashion Forest. I'm not really sure if this name sounds good but I hope it'll work well. Since the t-shirt will be coming in soon, I thought I want to find a proper space where I can catalog the stuffs. Nothing fancy. Just a clean cut web. They didn't provide online store services,(I have to get the paid one,duh..) however, I've linked the product lists to my etsy & Redbubble accounts and can be purchased through Paypal. At least things are much more organize and you could easily find everything in one place. I'll keep on posting here so make yourself home on my so called online "art & fashion boutique".
