Another interesting job, another interesting day...

Shopping bag design for Tamaki Boutique I did in March.
Received an email from the client today saying that they received positive feedbacks from their customers and they love the design! Woot! woot! I'll receive a sample soon and will update here.

Besides that I was offered a space in Artis Kids Store at Paradigm Mall to set up
an installation and display my Fashion-na-nimal Darlings paper dolls and illustrations and they are for sale.

Here's how my working table looked like last week.
2 weeks of sleepless nights + too much coffee..

Packaging, tagging, thank you cards and
introduction/ storyline for Fashion-na-nimal Darlings.

Here's how they looked like :)
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
I'll update another special collaboration next week :)

Enjoy.

Creative Mafia @ Youth '09 : Part 01

Doll up for the tea party in The Fashion Forest.
New set of Fashion-na-nimal Darlings.

Hello! Happy New Year 2009! New year, new day and..new Fashion-na-nimal Darlings!

I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to those who have supported me through out the year especially my L.O.V.E. I hope 2009 will be fruitful and colourful! Not t
o forget, Vivian and JayLim from The Kraft Store for their advices and supports, Patricia who I have been working on some projects, all the vendors/exhibitors I met during the art event, owh...RANtAI Art, Findars Space team The Annexe Gallery and..of course those who came, dropped by, viewed and bought my work. I still need all of you guys to continue this wonderful journey. I would say 2008 was the greatest so far. I had fun in my work, as well as my life :).

Ok back to work, as I mentioned earlier, I planned on the tea party theme for the exhibition at the Creative Mafia next week. My girls were asking if they could do a little tea party to start off the 2009. So I said, why not! I spent the new year with my girls yesterday and dressing them up with the new outfits! We had fun choosing together and this time no cat fights over the pickings. I
warned the girls there will be no shows for this year if they keep up with the cat fights. Each one of us must stay close and I guess they listened...hehehe. Good. My target is 50 pieces of paper dolls but with the limited time, I think 30 - 35 would do and there'll be more additional pieces. I also decided to add something, but what will it be? Hush, hush for now. I will update once I finished with it.

I'm looking forward the result for the collaboration with Vivian from The Kraft Store. As promised, I can't reveal the pictures of the artwork that I did for project but I hope they'll turn out awesome! I'll be working on a few collaborations and commission work soon so things will be hectic! I'm working on my first t-shirt line and hopefully I will be able to finish up by next week. I will announce soon when they will be ready. Beside that I also plan to have a solo exhibition this year so I'm working on some research and material searching and experimenting on new materials and surfaces. I really really hope all the plannings turn out good :).

Finally, check out my current interview with KLue Magazine by Miss Claudia for January 2009. Thanks to Miss Valene who has spotted me at Mont Kiara event last time. I just saw it online but haven't managed to grab one from the store so maybe I will try to look out for it after work. Go grab one!

Well, again, Happy New Year and I wish all the readers out there a happy and prosperous year ahead.
Warm wishes from us,

The Fashion-na-nimal Darlings paper dolls installation.

I'm kinda missed the train. Yeah, late news. I know. But I hope it's not too late for me to show some of the picture of my artwork and installation at the recent RANtAI Art Event 2008. Credit to Ivery from pipit for the pictures and if you notice there's a few pictures that was so low quality, yes they were taken by me..hehehe. For some other picture from the show, you may head on to pipit forum.

Owh yeah, thanks a lot to RANtAI Management for handling this great event and for accepting my work as well. Though I didn't spend much time there last Saturday because I had to run some errands, I hope RANtAI will be better next year.

Enjoy!

Gloom and gloomy but there's still a little sparkle.

I'm happy to receive an email from F.U.E.L Collection for the Grand Small Show in Philadelphia but unfortunately, due to my financial problem, I wasn't able to courier my work to them. I was a little down but luckily my L.O.V.E soothes me down and convinced that I could have another chance next time. Hopefully :).

On the other hand, I had full of workload in hands. Next week, I will be at ARTrage Lab @ Soho KL (North Atrium & South Atrium) from 12:00pm until 9:00pm with my fashion-na-nimal darlings. I'm opening a booth for my paper dolls for two days on 29th & 30th Dec 2008. I'm planning to build a little stage for them since I can't think of a proper place to stick them on. So hopefully I'll be able to finish them up this weekend. This event was brought by Joujou + Shugi's Collectible Market. Last week I had an interview with Vivian regarding my paper dolls so you could read on Joujou + Shugi.

I'm still adding more paper dolls for the sales as well as for the next art event organized by RANtAI at MIA, near KLCC, Kuala Lumpur. Here's the pre-idea of the installation I planned to do for my paper dolls. I also will be participating in the art exhibition and will send along some of my current artwork .

Strike your pose.

Things have been so uptight as I'm currently rushing to finish up my artworks for an art show. Unfortunately it has been canceled so I was thinking to submit them for F.U.E.L Collection submission. I've been neglecting my fashion-na-nimals paper dolls lately though I swore myself that I will keep on doing at least 5 pieces per week. It's a little hard to catch up with 3 jobs at a time so I hope at the mean time, it's forgivable...hehehe.

Tadaaa!!Final piece.

I thought I would like to share a few pieces from Pink Affairs Series : The Bond. This time, I'm concentrating on the lace and hairs that played important part of these series. They worked as the bonds that represents as the binds between female; delicate yet strong. I'm still using water colour as my main medium and my work are mostly messy yet controlled. I used a lot of pink, purple & a little subtle of blacks to get the feminine yet mistery impact. There are still a few pieces need inking so I'm trying to finish up everything by this week so that I can send them for framing and hopefully to start a new series. I'm planning to get more artwork ready for upcoming submission. I still have a long way to go to be a good artist/illustrator and I'm still learning so pardon my flaws :). Enjoy!
