I would like to wish Youth and Bijou Bazaar teams for organizing and handling such a great event for all the artists, vendors, entrepreneurs, youngsters and others for a healthy fun event. Well...fruitful on the other side as well :)..The Fashion-na-nimal Darlings are especially happy for having the platform for them to showcase their new favorite outfits...I'm so thankful that all my artworks were happily snatched away. Thanks to Liya & Sharun, a little cute girl named Athirah Nabila who bought my paper doll, Diana, Wan, from Lawa-Lawala, Zee Wee who brought Over the Pink Mountains, Mr. Fariz from motiofixo!, Mr. Arif from Naga DDB, Isabel, Reika from House of Reika, Michelle, Mr Fauzi from Efozy Design Studio, Murni from Mimpi Jewelery, Nadia & Raden, Nabila, Patricia from PattyBelle, and lastly, Benny from BennylitaNasution. As you can see, the Fashion-na-nimal Darlings are sharing the same 'runway' with Miss Plasterdoll, the amateur fashion model in Plasterdoll world. She dreamt to be the Superplasterdoll one day and we at The Fashion Forest wish you all the best stars in the future! I especially adore her work and so happy that I met another artist with the same passion. Go check out her stuffs and perhaps you would want to grab one of those outfit she wore for her fashion shoot.

I'm starting on the new series of my artwork since most of them are sold out. I'm also gearing up for the next Kuala Lumpur Design Week. I had a few installation ideas to add but it depends on my budget though..hehehe.. Thanks again to everyone especially L.O.V.E for his supports and also Maryam and Bijou Bazaar team for this opportunity. I'm looking for another blast in the next stop. At the mean time, I'm sending off my girls for a short 'vacation' and Dolly-Dolly will be on working mode. Come on girl. Let's start working...

Say hello to the colourful day!

The Fashion-na-nimal Darlings are starting the year off with a small 'tea party' and would love to invite all the great readers out there to come and join them. Perhaps have a bite of cupcakes and a sip of tea. So raid your closet and get your loveliest piece and head on to PWTC this weekends. As mentioned earlier, the girls will be hitting in the new pieces from the Summer/Spring 2009 fashion collection from the greatest designers they adore. Entrance is free and all are welcome. Feast your eyes with the fashion-na-nimal paper dolls and artwork. Owh...just a gentle reminder. Load up your purse, just in case you want to grab one of them home :).

See ya there!

Creative Mafia @ Youth '09 : Part 03

Tea set.

Ok. I'm still alive. I forced my eyes to stay awake last night and at 2.30 a.m, I managed to paint the tea set. Phew!!!... 80% of my the preparation for the exhibition is ready and tonight I'd just start packing and do the labelling and some cuttings. I have deadlines in office (arrrggh) so I'm afraid if I have to stay back to finish the work. I'm a bit relieved everything is ready and I can get a rest tonight.

That's all for now. Later.

Creative Mafia @ Youth '09 : Part 01

Doll up for the tea party in The Fashion Forest.
New set of Fashion-na-nimal Darlings.

Hello! Happy New Year 2009! New year, new day and..new Fashion-na-nimal Darlings!

I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to those who have supported me through out the year especially my L.O.V.E. I hope 2009 will be fruitful and colourful! Not t
o forget, Vivian and JayLim from The Kraft Store for their advices and supports, Patricia who I have been working on some projects, all the vendors/exhibitors I met during the art event, owh...RANtAI Art, Findars Space team The Annexe Gallery and..of course those who came, dropped by, viewed and bought my work. I still need all of you guys to continue this wonderful journey. I would say 2008 was the greatest so far. I had fun in my work, as well as my life :).

Ok back to work, as I mentioned earlier, I planned on the tea party theme for the exhibition at the Creative Mafia next week. My girls were asking if they could do a little tea party to start off the 2009. So I said, why not! I spent the new year with my girls yesterday and dressing them up with the new outfits! We had fun choosing together and this time no cat fights over the pickings. I
warned the girls there will be no shows for this year if they keep up with the cat fights. Each one of us must stay close and I guess they listened...hehehe. Good. My target is 50 pieces of paper dolls but with the limited time, I think 30 - 35 would do and there'll be more additional pieces. I also decided to add something, but what will it be? Hush, hush for now. I will update once I finished with it.

I'm looking forward the result for the collaboration with Vivian from The Kraft Store. As promised, I can't reveal the pictures of the artwork that I did for project but I hope they'll turn out awesome! I'll be working on a few collaborations and commission work soon so things will be hectic! I'm working on my first t-shirt line and hopefully I will be able to finish up by next week. I will announce soon when they will be ready. Beside that I also plan to have a solo exhibition this year so I'm working on some research and material searching and experimenting on new materials and surfaces. I really really hope all the plannings turn out good :).

Finally, check out my current interview with KLue Magazine by Miss Claudia for January 2009. Thanks to Miss Valene who has spotted me at Mont Kiara event last time. I just saw it online but haven't managed to grab one from the store so maybe I will try to look out for it after work. Go grab one!

Well, again, Happy New Year and I wish all the readers out there a happy and prosperous year ahead.
Warm wishes from us,
La mode des filles de la forêt.

Everyday is a fashion runway in The Fashion Forest!
